The interpolation function of CNC system is mainly realized by software, and there are mainly two kinds of interpolation algorithms. One is pulse incremental interpolation, which is characterized by generating a feed pulse at the end of each interpolation operation; The other is digital incremental interpolation. Its characteristic is that the interpolation operation is carried out once in each interpolation cycle, and a tiny linear data segment is calculated according to the command feed rate. The mcx314a chip contains high-speed and high-precision linear and circular interpolation functions.
(4) Servo control. The position feed pulse or feed speed command sent by the computer is transformed and amplified into the rotation of servo motor (stepper motor or AC and DC servo motor), so as to drive the workbench to move.
(5) Tool compensation. In contour processing, when different size tools are used to process the same contour workpiece, or the same nominal tool changes due to wear, in order to ensure the control accuracy and programming convenience, the CNC system usually has the tool compensation function.

Using the good man-machine interface and data processing ability of PC, PC is used as the man-machine interface of NC programming to check the syntax of NC programs and preprocess NC programs. After PC preprocessing, the NC program is downloaded to the motion controller, and LPC2214 stores the NC program in flash. During NC processing, LPC2214 reads the processing code from flash, decodes the NC processing program, and calls API functions after decoding to realize NC functions.
As the human-computer interaction interface of the CNC system, the upper PC can complete the functions of NC code editing (or receiving the processing program generated by cad/cam software), syntax checking and code preprocessing, and can communicate with the motion controller, upload the processed NC code parameters to the controller, and receive the (logic) position feedback and drive status information of the controller, so as to realize the monitoring of the whole system. The upper PC program is developed with Visual Basic.
After the basic software and hardware platform of motion controller has been established, the key point of realizing NC application is to convert NC code into API function calls, and the core content is to decode NC machining program.
